What is biliary atresia? Biliary atresia is a rare condition in newborn infants in which the common bile duct between the liver and the small intestine is blocked or absent. If unrecognized, the condition leads to liver failure. The cause of the condition is unknown. The only effective treatments are certain surgeries such as the kasai procedure, or liver transplantation.

Updates on Wacky's operation

Wacky is doing well, he still needs to stay at the hospital until Apr. 30. so far, his stent already expanded and is now 4mm in size, 48 hrs after the operation, before the operation his portal vein is only 2.8mm.

We are very lucky to still have good people around that helps us get by. Thank you to the Daniel And Honor Family for being there with us. The same with our Taiwanese family, Chien and He family, Emma and the 10F family.

God is so good! He always provides, we just need to believe!

Say a little prayer

Wacky was admitted to the hospital this afternoon after being found that his portal vein is narrowing and he will undergo another surgery tomorrow. The doctors will put a stent that will help the portal vein to expand and perform its function.

I don't know what to feel, we just came to taiwan for his annual check up and yet, again, my son will undergo another pain.. In a way, we are still lucky because his condition doesn't have any signs that there is something wrong, the doctors found out in just the right moment..

God is really good, He gave us the funds to go back to Taiwan, so that we will know that something is wrong and needs to be attended the soonest possible time.. Although, we are not financially prepared for the said operation, I know that God will provide..

Again, we are asking for your prayers and support that Wacky's operation be successful and may this be his last..

Thank you and God bless!
